“I tested on a Friday, and because I had such a good feeling about it, I had a feeling I was going to get a call very soon. I talked to my girlfriend and said, ‘We should really go camping because if this thing happens, we’re not going to get a chance to do this for a long time.’ So we went to Angeles National Forest and had a great time, and by the time we were coming back down the mountain to cell reception, my agent and manager had known for at least three hours and had been trying to get hold of me, frantic as to where I was. I called from the car and got the good news!”
